(More customer reviews)this is the only down bag I have ever owned but so far it seems great.it has good loft and is more comfortable than my synthetic bag and packs to half the size of my 30 degree bag.In the picture it's blue and red but mine came blue and orange. The mummy hood is a rad design and it has 2 pockets on the inside.It is also ridiculously cheaper than comparable bags.

Ledge Featherlite Bag Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this bag a little over two years ago. I needed something cheap and didn't want to spend $400 bucks on a top of the line Big Agnes. The bag is awesome. Perfect for backpacking. Super light. It has worked great. Have no desire to buy a nice feathered downed even if I had the money to do so. The synthetic works great. One huge plus for me was the bag it comes in has six straps attached to it so you can tighten and compact the bag to about 10" x 12". Would definitely buy this one again.

(More customer reviews)First off I want to dispel both of the bad reviews that were written.No offense, but I'm assuming these two are not backpackers and that is what this bag is intended for.Yes it's light and not fluffy, that's why it only weighs a little over 1lb without the stuff sack.As far as 20 degrees, it's like the other person said, temperature is relative to the person.I'm a hot person so this bag suits me down to the rating and then some.The guy who said he couldn't get the bag back in the sack probably has never used a stuff sack in his life, I actually can get the bag small enough to fit in the sack + my pillow as well, so I have no idea what he's talking about.I give this bag for the price to weight ratio 4 stars, I don't think you can't find a better bargain.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this bag from Target a few months ago.It's a great cold-weather bag, I've used it in temps down to 20F and have been very toasty in this thing.The removable top layer gives you nice flexibility, and can be used to augment your sleeping pad on warmer nights or as a pillow.My only issues are that it's a little too heavy for backpacking (but what do you expect from a $50 bag?), and it doesn't come with a compression sack.

Black Diamond Bipod Bivy Bag Review

(More customer reviews)For side sleepers like me, the Bi-Pod Bivy is way too tight in both the hip and shoulder areas. Also, I use the Therma-Rest NeoAir mattress which when fully inflated takes-up three inches in height.

I have reordered and have received the heavier but far more spacious Tri-Pod Bivy. Its size is just right for me.

The quality of both models is excellent.

I have two complaints with both models. First, the zip-up opening is much too small. The opening should have at least one more foot to facilitate entry into the bivy. Second, I don't understand why the outer seams don't come pre-sealed from the factory. Instead you are sent a tube of sealer and a syringe and must seal it yourself.

At first I didn't think he wanted to take it because he usually bundles up his shirts and lays his head on that.. but he brought the pillow with him anyway. When he came back from the trip he told me that everyone was eyeing his pillow and wanted one for themselves. He really liked the pillow. He thought it was comfortable for the size and cost. He folded it in half and used it that way. I don't think it was that soft unless you folded it. You are also able to fold it and tuck it into a nice flap that is located on the back of the pillow for easy storage and it's nice for when you don't have a lot of room in your backpack.

All in all, good purchase. Oh, and it says that the colors vary when you order it. Our pillow came in Red. (just so you know)

It is light! 1 lbs. 7oz.Lots of room inside.I easily put my Therma-a-Rest GuideLite Full pad and Reg. Size Mummy Bag inside the sack.There is a lot of head room for all your clothes.I could stretch out my arms above my head inside the bivy, (I'm 5'11")

Cons
Maybe not best for winter weather camping.I used this bivy sack over the weekend camping out.The temperature dipped down around 10 degree Fahrenheit and a lot of condensation built up on my bag.The first night I slept with it totally zipped up.The second night I left my face out so that I wouldn't breathe on my down sleeping bag.Both nights my sleeping bag was damp.I am uncertain if it was just too cold to for the fabricate to breathe.I think it will work find in warmer weather.

There are four ultralight straight tent stakes to hold each corner in place.But in the future I will swap out the stakes with Sheppard's hook type of stake later.

I am eager to use this in spring to see how it does.

NALGENE Tritan 1-Quart Wide Mouth BPA-Free Water Bottle Review

(More customer reviews)I own and regularly use 3 of these water bottles and I have to say they are the best water bottles I've ever owned. First off I don't pretend to understand all of the science behind the BPA debate, but I always think that if you can err on the side of caution, why not do it, and in this case Nalgene has made it really easy. These bottles are very solid. I use them to take water or gatorade with me when I golf and they get smacked around a bit riding in the side compartment of my golf bag (I play a lot of walking courses) and I've had no problems with them cracking or even getting scratched. The lids screw on easily and tightly and I've never had one of these bottles leak.

Another great thing about them is that they have virtually no smell. They don't have any sort of plastic aftertaste and they won't make water taste nasty, even if it gets heated up by the sun.

I also like the thick plastic band that connects the lid to the bottle. It has a dual purpose: preventing the loss of the lid (obvious) and doubling as a loop which you can connect the bottle to a lanyard or rope for carrying it. This is handy with certain backpacks.

With a variety of great colors to choose from, there is little not to like about these water bottles. I highly recommend them.

(More customer reviews)When I started looking for a 3 person, 4 season, light weight, economical tent, I thought this would be perfect. I have not used it yet, but I have set it up and I really think it will work for our backpacking needs. I know this is not considered a backpacking tent, but 7lbs. (indicated on website) is not bad when our other backpacking tent weighed 5lbs. We decided 2 more pounds would be ok.

The only problem I have is that the website says it weighs 7lbs.
The shipping weight on the box said, 11 lbs. I know that the box did not weight 5 lbs. So my husband weighed the tent at work, without the box, on a commercial scale and it weighed 8.5 lbs.
So, you might be thinking 1.5lbs. is not a big deal. Well it is when you are carrying it on your back for 25 miles. Every pound is important when considering what you take with you.

I think the weight needs to be changed on the website just incase someone else has the same weight considerations.

For a two person it had enough room but it is not free standing meaning you need to hammer in the stakes in order for it to set up, the stakes are cheap and would probably bend after being used a couple times, and the fabric isnt all that great either. I didnt actually use it. I returned it because it wasnt ideal for backpacking. If you want to spend money on a tent for 2 buy the big agnes tents. Expensive, but pro status. oh yeah and the poles on the tent were the only nice thing about it. All packed up its about two feet across which would stick out to wide on a pack.
