(More customer reviews)I've slept on a few air mattresses, I live in NYC, were space is a premium. I needed something that could tuck away easily but still be a more comfortable option than the couch.I realized it would have been nice to get an automatic pump versus a hand pump.But, that said, this is an air mattress that you could take car camping.I slept on it, it was comfortable.I think it lost a little air-- but I'm not sure I may have not screwed a cap on tightly enough.It is a great deal for the price, in that it is no less comfortable that the $100plus air mattresses I have slept on.AND-- i used a hair dryer to do the bulk of the blowing up, which was nice.I just use the hand pump for the finishing touch.Fits very compactly into a little storage ottoman (with room for sheets and blankets).I would give it 5 stars except for whether the loss of air was not user error, and the hand pump.

(More customer reviews)I think for many people this bed would be great, but it didn't quite work for me. The pump works great, but is very loud both filling and emptying. It gets the mattress very firm. Though the mattress was firm enough, the whole structure bowed down in the center under the weight of two people. It was enough that neither of us were comfortable by morning.

Coleman 4-in-1 Quickbed Review

(More customer reviews)After researching many of the other more expensive, self-inflating air beds, I decided to purchase the Coleman 4-in-1 Quickbed for overnight guests. It's less than half the price of an average twin size Aero Bed and much more versatile as it can be configured as two twins, one king, or one double-height twin. You do need to buy a separate pump, but the Coleman pump is inexpensive and can be used for other inflating/deflating purposes (e.g., pool toys, vaccuum storage bags, etc.). Each mattress inflates and deflates in just a couple minutes, and it's quite easy to roll it up for storage. It's comfortable both as a single matress or double height. I ended up buying a second 4-in-1 Quickbed, so now I can accommodate up to 4 overnight guests for less than $100. I can't vouch for how long it will last, but even if it sprung a leak after a couple years of periodic use, it would still be worth it at this low price.

Coleman Queen-Sized Quickbed with Wrap 'N' Roll Storage Review

(More customer reviews)If you are looking for a bed you can take with you camping in the summer and to relatives homes any time of the year, this bed works fairly well for short term use and is a quick and cheap solution. I find the Coleman beds last quite a long time, even though you will eventually find yourself on the floor due to the many problems that can occur with placing an airbed on the floor. For one, sharp objects will easily puncture the bed and this includes playful cats tossing about toys near the bed or like my cat loves to do, pushing a cat toy under the bed and retrieving it again.

I've lost two beds this way, but this can be solved by placing a thick mattress cover over the bed. Sharp objects under the carpet may also puncture the bed although this bed has an exclusive PVC and the airtight system is guaranteed not to leak. I find that we deflate this bed in the morning and inflate it again at night, so this isn't really a problem, although after two days, you may notice air has leaked out a little bit more than you expect.

The comfortsmart coil system helps the bed to conform to your body for better support, which means you might like this bed better than a regular mattress. In my short lifetime I've purchased quite a few of these beds and more expensive doesn't mean more comfortable. To be honest, this is more comfortable than the Aero beds with the pillow top.

If the bed looses air, you might want to take a look at the inflation instructions where it shows the internal seal and the internal yellow post and how you can completely seal the valve in a two-step process.

"Air temperature and weather do affect the air pressure in inflatable products. In cold weather your airbed will lose some pressure due to the fact that the air will contract."

So, to avoid this happening, we use a heating blanket on the bed.

One thing I will say about Coleman, they stand by
their warranty. With Aero, I found it difficult
to even return a bed or to find a return address
at their site.
