Rio Sports Umbrella (6 ft)-(Colors Will Vary) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Do not buy this product! This is a totally useless imitation of a beach umbrella (made in China with cheap materials). First, upon opening it, I saw that one of the spokes was broken. When I took it to the beach and tried to use it there in the presence of some very weak breeze from the ocean, the umbrella could not stand open at all and some more of the spokes broke. The pointy attachment that leads the pole in the sand got detached and lost under the sand. Also, the strap of the vinyl carrying bag got torn off on my way back from that unfortunate day at the beach, so now you can't even carry it on your shoulder. I completely regret spending money on this garbage. The retailer offered to send me a replacement within 1 to 5 business days but did not ship it until I inquired about the status of the replacement 11 days later. They claimed that the replacement was shipped on time, but it got lost in transit, so they were gonna ship another one. However, I never received a shipping notification or a tracking number from the carrier, so I think the retailer was just lying to cover up their own failure to fulfill their responsibilities. Finally, they offered me a full refund, and I gladly accepted my money back.

The Original Umbrella Stand - Use Anywhere, Sand or Grass, Easy to Use, Yellow with Thumbscrews Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This probably the best umbrella stand I've seen for use in the grass or dirt.

Pros:
1. The tines are very easy to anchor into even very hard turf by just stepping on the stand.
2. Great for soccer games, picnics, baseball games
3. Can be used with any umbrella.

Cons:
1. It's made of metal and a little heavy.(but it's really sturdy)
2. As another reviewer noted, it's not great for soft sand. You may have to dig a little hole first and then anchor it.
3. I wish there was a cover for the anchor points for when you carry it around. I just put a bag on the end so I don't poke anyone.

Overall it's a great umbrella stand that my family uses every weekend at the kids' games and practices.

Highly recommended!
